Cleveland Cavaliers Expect to be Without Kevin Love Until After New Year
Not many Cleveland Cavaliers players have had as frustrating of a year as Kevin Love.
The All-Star power forward underwent left foot surgery on November 2 after suiting up in only four games with the Cavs. The original timetable for his return was six weeks, but it seems that a comeback during the week of December 14 seems near impossible.
“There’s just no telling at this time with the weight-bearing injury what it is going to be like moving forward, but I expect to be back sometime after the new year,” Love said.
The new timetable expects Love to return some time shortly after the start of the new year.
At 2-13, the Cavaliers have struggled to get anything going in their first year without LeBron James. Sitting at the very bottom of the League standings, the Cavs are desperate for any help they can get.
On the season, Love is averaging 19-points, albeit on poor shooting, and 13.5-rebounds per game. The five time All-Star signed a four-year, $120 million contract extension with the Cavaliers over the summer.
