LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo Lead First All-Star Votes Returns
LeBron James is leading the Western Conference in votes and it’s not even close.
In the first All-Star voting returns, it is James and Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the way for the Western and Eastern Conferences. Surprisingly, rookie Luka Doncic is second among the West’s front court in votes, holding a slight edge against none other than the second best basketball player in the world – Kevin Durant. Anthony Davis is on the outside looking in, trailing Durant by just over 50,000 votes.
The front court sees another big surprise. While there is no question Stephen Curry deserves the start, Derrick Rose is second among guards, ahead of James Harden, who has been averaging a million points per game over his past dozen games.

Out in the East, the front court makes perfect sense with Kawhi Leonard and Joel Embiid rounding out the starting three. Meanwhile, the popularity contest that is the fan vote strikes again in the guards category as Dwyane Wade joins Kyrie Irving as the current guard leaders out East.
It’s real cool seeing Wade in the lead in his final season, but let’s get Kemba Walker what he deserves!
