Kuzma MVP, as Team USA Beats Team World in Rising Stars Challenge
A lot of baskets were scored on Friday night between Jesus Shuttlesworth and the Rising Stars Challenge.
The weekend that old-heads despise for its lack of defense has arrived and after accumulating a combined total of over 300-point, the league’s brightest and youngest stars surely did not disappoint.
Led by Kyle Kuzma’s MVP performance, the US team took control of the fourth quarter after the World team pulled the game within six with 12 minutes left in the game, en route to a 161-144 victory. The sophomore Los Angeles Laker led all scored with 35 points, while shooting 15-for-27 from the field.

Jayson Tatum pitched in with 30 points of his own, while Trae Young put on an absolute show with his dribbling and passing ability, finishing the night with 25 points off the bench, along with 10 assists.
The World team was led by Ben Simmons who finished the game with 28 points on a very efficient 14-for-17 from the field. Chicago Bulls big man Lauri Markkanen added 21 points of his own. Toronto Raptors wing man O.G. Anunoby did his part as well, throwing down a few nice dunks and totalling 12 points.
In what was a very exciting start to All-Star Weekend, expect a lot more high-scoring action to come – especially on Sunday night.
