Detroit Pistons Pull of Two Trades a Day Prior to the Deadline
The season has not gone according to plan for the Detroit Pistons.
Sitting at 24-29 and on the outside of the playoff picture, the Pistons started off their day with a couple of minor trades. First, the Pistons sent sharp-shooter Reggie Bullock to the Los Angeles Lakers in return for Svi Mykhailiuk as well as a draft pick. They followed up that move by acquiring Thon Maker from the Milwaukee Bucks for the services of wing player Stanley Johnson.
Johnson is set to enter restricted free agency this upcoming offseason, while Maker has fallen out of the Bucks rotation and was looking to get moved to a new team.
Bullock was averaging 12 points per game while shooting 38% from long range this season.
While it is unclear whether the Pistons are done dealing for now, the Lakers may be looking to make more moves ahead of the February 7th trade deadline.
