Team LeBron Downs Team Giannis in High Scoring All-Star Game
Dunks, open three pointers, alley-oops and more dunk.
That ties a bow on yet another high-scouring NBA All-Star Game as Team LeBron rallied back from a double digit deficit to shock Team Giannis by a score of 178-164.
Just your typical basketball game.
Led by the game’s MVP Kevin Durant who poured in 31 points, Team LeBron fought back in the second half to pull out a Sunday night victory. Backing Durant’s impressive performance was his Golden State Warriors teammate who scored 20 points, and James and Kawhi Leonard who added 19 points apiece.
“We just started making shots,” Durant said. “Thanks for the hospitality. It was an amazing weekend. Glad we capped it off with a ‘W.”’
Meanwhile, Giannis Antetokounmpo made quite the bid for the MVP award, leading all scores with 38 points. His Milwaukee Bucks teammate Khris Middleton paced him with 20 points, while Paul George added 20 points of his own. Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry played in only 13 minutes, scoring three points.
In what is a sign of the importance of the three point shot, both teams combined to take 167 three pointers.
That does it for the All Star Weekend. Until next year!
