First of the Big 3 Sees Number Retired by the Miami Heat
No. 1 is in the rafters.
With a loud “Come on”, Chris Bosh left yet another lasting memory in Miami on his special night. On Tuesday night, the Miami Heat retired the jersey of one member of the Big 3 – a trio rounded out by LeBron James and Dwyane. As part of the Big 3, Bosh helped Miami make four NBA Finals appearance and win two NBA championships.
“When I was down and out, when I was going through things, you guys taught me how to rebound,” Bosh said. “Thank you.”
Wade introduced Bosh as “one of the greatest players to ever live” and “the piece and the person that made the Big Three era legendary”.
In his six seasons with the Heat, he averaged 18.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, while becoming one of the first stretch fours in the current era of NBA basketball.
Bosh’s place in Heat history is undisputed.
