Lakers Lose, but LeBron James Passes MJ on All-Time Scoring List

Chalk it up as another loss for the Lakers, but last night was still about LeBron James.

Midway through the second quarter, LeBron James passed his childhood hero, Michael Jordan on the all-time scoring list, surpassing Jordan’s 32,292 career point’s mark. LeBron would go onto finish the night with 31 points as he now sits alone in fourth on the NBA’s all time scoring list.

Kobe Bryant is next up on the list, approximately 1,300 points ahead.

Overall, it has been a trying year for James who despite putting up incredible individual numbers is playing on a struggling Lakers squad. Sitting at 30-35 following last night’s loss, the Lakers playoff hopes are starting to fade.

In his 16th season, LeBron is averaging 27.2 points, 7.4 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game.
