Los Angeles Lakers Sign Fan Favourite Andre Ingram to Contract
Well, if you don’t plan on winning games, you might as well entertain fans, right? The Lakers have signed 33 year old, fan favourite Andre Ingram to a 10-day contract.
Here is Ingram’s reaction to the news:

And here is a reminder of one his cameo’s last season, where he put on a show for Laker’s fans in his debut:
Last year, Ingram became the feel-good story of the Laker’s pitiful season. Known as one of the hardest working and most beloved veterans in G-League history, a genuinely good guy – who makes extra money during the season by tutoring high school kids on calculas via Skype- will give the Lakers a sorely needed dose of joy and likeability, in these final 16 games of another lost season.
“Well, I love his attitude,” coach Luke Walton said. “He doesn’t complain. He works hard no matter what. You talk to the G-League coaches, whenever they need him, he’s ready to play. And for us, when we played him in the short games, he spaced the floor for us. He knocked down shots. We’ve got other guys that are going to get their opportunities. But, if we’re having a game again where…we need someone to knock down shots and space the floor, then we feel confident he can do that.”
Injuries have obviously depleted the Lakers roster. Brandon Ingram (blood clot) and Lonzo Ball (ankle) have been ruled out for the season, with Kuzma also currently out and LeBron on a minutes restriction. Expect the Lakers youngsters to get the majority of the run down the stretch, and Andre Ingram to feature in some games too.
Move over LeBron, King Andre is taking the throne.
