Tyronn Lue, Los Angeles Lakers End Talks Amid Dispute Over Contract
The only thing that was left was putting pen to paper.
The drama in LaLa Land seems to have no end in sight as fans plan on protesting outside of the Staples Arena as the Los Angeles Lakers dysfunction continues to grow.

Tyronn Lue to the Lakers seemed to be the perfect fit, yet after a month of reports suggesting the deal is all but done, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN alerted the NBA world that two sides have ended conversations over a contract dispute. According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports, the Lakers offered Lue a three-year, $19-million deal, but Lue sought a five-year deal, siting his championship resume and experience coaching LeBron James. The Lakers former head coach, Luke Walton, who too has won a championship as a coach, albeit an assistant, received a five-year deal with the Lakers when he first took the Los Angeles job.

There were reports of Lue already hanging out with LeBron James at boxing matches and even receiving a Laker-themed cake on his birthday, yet now the Lakers are looking else where to fill the vacancy.
Juwan Howard and Jason Kidd are two other names who have interviewed for the position.
