Money Comes in on the New Orleans Pelicans
After landing the first overall pick in the 2019 Draft for an opportunity to select Zion Williamson, bettors in Vegas are believing in the Pelicans team and the money has been pouring in.
According to the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, the Pelicans were initially tied for the worst odds of winning the 2019-20 NBA title at 300-1. Since the conclusion of the draft lottery, that number has fallen to a staggering 25-1, which sees the Pelicans tied for the 10thbest odds of winning an NBA championship next season!

This dramatic of a shift is rare and means that many are believing in the hype and hoping that there is a possibility that Anthony Davis remains in New Orleans for at least a season.
“We think it’s a lot more likely that Anthony Davis decides maybe New Orleans isn’t so bad now that they’re getting Zion,” Westgate director John Murray said.
The Warriors remain the early favourites for next season at 7/4, and Murray added that should the Knicks acquire Kevin Durant, their current odds of 16/1 will decrease significantly.
