Anthony Davis Still Wants Out Despite Pelicans Winning the Lottery
So much for the thought of Zion and AD teaming up. Anthony Davis must REALLY want out of New Orleans if not even the allure of playing with Zion Williamson can convince him to consider re-signing.
According to the reports, Davis’ stance has not changed despite the Pelicans landing the No.1 overall pick. He wants out this summer.

We all know that he initially requested a trade in January but the Pelicans were unable to move him ahead of the trade deadline, despite the Los Angeles Lakers offering multiple packages.
He is still under contract with the Pelicans and will earn just over $27 million through the 2019-20 season and has a player option for the following year, though all signs point to him exiting this summer.
The Pelicans will do all they can to re-sign Davis but should they be unsuccessful, things may not be so doom-and-gloom anymore. Not only will they be selecting 1stin the draft, but they would likely get a major haul for Davis which could quickly kickstart a rebuild for them this summer.
