LeBron James Taking Matters into His Own Hands, Begins Recruiting

Kawhi Leonard’s playoff performances thus far have been nothing short of spectacular. Averaging 31 points and 8.5 rebounds on 56.3 percent from the field, he has the league on notice.

Among those tracking his work, is LeBron James.

James reportedly travelled to Philadelphia this past week to meet Leonard and get the recruiting underway. The popular opinion around the league has been that Leonard, an unrestricted free agent this summer and Southern California native, will be choosing between the Clippers and Raptors this summer.Evidently, LeBron wants to change that. With the Lakers in shambles, made even worse by their low-balling tactics with Ty Lue and lack of elite coaching options left in the market, LeBron has decided to take matters into his own hands in an attempt to improve the future outlook of the Lakers.

The exact details of this ‘meeting’ are obviously unknown and it is unclear how interested Kawhi was in hearing what LeBron had to say, especially considering the fact that he is in the middle of a pivotal playoff series. Either way, Kawhi will have a decision to make very soon that may shape the NBA landscape for years to come.
