Tim Duncan Continues to Train As he Enjoys Retirement

While Dirk Nowitski says he has not stepped foot into a gym since retirement, and has “ate ice cream almost every single day”, Spurs icon Tim Duncan is still looking like hes in the prime of his career.

Since retiring in 2016, Duncan has been training with Spurs trainer Jason Echols. The two have a close relationship dating back to 2009 when Echolz incorporated kickboxing into Duncan’s training routine to keep him in peak shape.

At 43-years old, Duncan continues to regularly hit the weight room, do his kickboxing routines and finishes off with a refreshing barrel sauna and ice bath session for recovery. Since retiring, Duncan has almost managed to slim down quite a bit and is looking healthier than ever.

While most former NBA players relax and enter a less active lifestyle post-retirement, kudos to Duncan for staying fit. Who knows, maybe he has career in the UFC?
