Celtics Falling Apart

Horford, Similar to Kyrie, Looking to Move From on Celtics

The Houston Rockets of the Eastern Conference.

It seems like everything is following apart in Boston almost a year after the Celtics were a shoe-in to crack the NBA Finals. It was only a mere few months ago when the Celtics were looking to build on what was an impressive end of their 2018 run with Kyrie Irving promising the Celtics faithful that he has truly found his long-term home in Boston.

Fast forward to today and the chances of Irving returning are all but non-existent. Reports claim Irving has been “ghosting” the Celtics for the past two-three weeks and the industry feeling is that he is looking to move onto the Brooklyn Nets.

Now, it seems like the Celtics are about to lose aging star Al Horford as well. After early reports suggested that Horford was looking to opt out of the final year of his deal in order to come to terms with the Celtics on a more team-friendly, long-term contract, Steve Bullet of the Boston Herald now claims that the two sides have broken off talks on a potential three-year deal.

Horford is now expected to move on from the Celtics in order to sign a four-year contract with a rival team.

With Anthony Davis now off the market, and Irving and Horford’s departure inevitable, the Celtics fall into a tough spot as an offseason of drama and finger-pointing continues.
