Blazers, Hawks Agree to Minor Trade on NBA Awards Day
The NBA offseason has seen a couple of big moves already.
So the Portland Trailblazers and Atlanta Hawks decided to get in on the act. On Monday evening, thee Blazers have opted to move Evan Turner to Atlanta Hawks for Kent Bazemore. Both players are relatively similar and are essentially owed the exact same amount of money for the upcoming season.
Atlanta, I dont even know where to start. Want to thank the @atlhawks for the a tremendous run over the past five years. Lots of roots planted in this city! To the front office and management, thank you putting me in a situation to thrive! #RIPCITY LETS GET IT!! @trailblazers pic.twitter.com/JoR49ol0sd

In essence, it was a trade made for the sake of making a trade.
Bazemore averaged 11.6 points per game last season while shooting 32-percent from long range, while Turner, albeit on a deeper Blazers team, averaged 6.8 points while shooting a putrid 21.2 percent from deep.
Both wing players are entering the final year their respective four year deals originally inked in 2016.
