Rookie Rui Hachimura and Celtics’ Jayson Tatum to Join Jordan Roster
The Jordan Brand has added a couple of big names to it’s roster.
To kick off the weekend, rookie Rui Hachimura and Celtics’ upstart Jayson Tatum have both signed multi-year shoe deals with the sneaker giant. Tatum wore Nike kicks this past season before choosing to transition over to Jordan.

The opportunity to add Hachimura to the roster may pay huge dividends to the Jordan Brand. Surrounded by a massive collection of Japanese media members on Draft night, Hachimura’s potential to draw in Japan both on and off the court is incredibly appealing. Japan will also be hosting the Olympics in 2020 and Hachimura is expected to play for his native country.
Hachimura was drafted ninth overall in Thursday’s Draft by the Washington Wizards.
