Don’t Believe Everything you Read Raptors Fans, But Keep Breathing
The past few days have certainly tested the sanity of Raptors Nation.
Why should it not, after all?
NBA champions for the first time in their franchise’s history, the Toronto Raptors, for the first time, have the most coveted player on the open market. Kawhi Leonard is a free agent that essentially holds the balance of the entire league in his hands. While all the big name free agents wasted little time in signing brand new contracts, Leonard has continued to roll to the beat of his own drum, taking meetings and answering phone calls.
It seems to be a three-team race between the Raptors, the Los Angeles Clippers and the Los Angeles Lakers and as usual, the glamorous Lakers have been blowing up the social media world. It is no secret that the majority of the American basketball media wants to see Kawhi in California next season, but at times over the past couple of days, some of the rumours that have been created seem incredibly outlandish and baseless.
So the Clippers get a future first-round pick to take on Harkless, who is another starting level forward with significant playoff experience to surround — potentially — Kawhi Leonard.

I’m not the first but I am the last source you’ll need to hear from, I’m NOT happy to announce it, but
KAWHI is a LAKER.

Chris Broussard tweeted that “Kawhi to Lakers rumblings getting stronger & stronger.” Oh, no. Chris and I are about to go at it. Next on @undisputed

Since @KDTrey5 is now heading to the @BrooklynNets it’s @kawhileonard who’s providing the most suspense. And this much is for sure: The @LAClippers do not believe the @Lakers will get him ahead of them. They believe it’s them or the @Raptors . We’ll see.

Naturally, Raptors fans panic.
Why shouldn’t they?
If Kawhi re-signs, it seems as though Danny Green will follow. With the band back together, a strong case can be made that the Raptors can repeat as NBA champions.
The Milwaukee Bucks have lost Malcolm Brogdon. The Lakers have 3 players on their roster. Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant are injured. The Sixers replaced Jimmy Butler and JJ Redick with Josh Richardson and Al Horford. The Celtics have replaced Al Horford and Kyrie Irving with Kemba Walker and Enes Kanter.
You get the point.
Leonard’s decision will be made sooner rather than later and before you look to deep into tweets made by blue-checkmarked individuals with zero access to The Klaw’s camp, take a deep breathe and take the reports with a grain of salt.
Don’t believe everything you read. This was a public service announcement.
