Kawhi Leonard Donates 1 Million Backpacks to Los Angeles Students

With school starting up again shortly, the newest star of the Los Angeles Clippers hooked up a million Los Angeles students with new backpacks.

Just in time for the start of classes, the reigning Finals MVP partnered up with the LA Clippers Foundation and nonprofit, Baby2Baby, to provide each student in the Los Angeles, Moreno Valley, and Inglewood school districts with brand new backpacks.  Leonard made the announcement in his hometown of Moreno Valley at Cloverdale Elementary School, stating that the goal was to  make meaningful contributions “both on and off the court” this year.

Making a very quick first impression in his new home, Leonard signed a 3-year, $103-mllion deal with the Clippers this offseason, after winning an NBA championship as a member of the Toronto Raptors this past season.
