Andre Iguodala Not Reporting to Camp, Grizzlies Looking for Trade
With the regular season quickly approaching, the Memphis Grizzlies and Andre Iguodala remain at an impasse.
Unwilling to buyout the veteran forward, the Grizzlies have granted Iguodala permission to not report to training camp as the organization is working towards finding a trade partner. Iguodala will remain on the Grizzlies roster until a trade is reached which suggests that the three-time NBA champion may miss the beginning of the season if the Grizzlies are unable to workout a quick trade scenario.
Igoudala will continue to work out privately.
The 35-year old may consider retirement following this upcoming NBA season and hopes to play for a contender as opposed to a team in the early stages of the rebuilding process. Iguodala was acquired by the Grizzlies from the Golden State Warriors earlier in the offseason along with a protected first round picks as the Warriors were looking to unload salary.
It will be interesting to continue monitoring this situation in Memphis.
