Dwyane Wade Leaving Door Open for Potential Return to the Game
Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade is happily retired.
That being said, he is still staying in shape according to Arash Markazi of the Los Angeles Times and has been training with NBA players such as Ben Simmons and Josh Hart over the Summer. Additionally, he will keep working out with LeBron James before Los Angeles Lakers home games this upcoming season.
“You’re definitely going to see me out there. I’ll be there early to work out with LeBron before the game starts. I just want to stay around it and be as involved as I can,” said Wade.
Unlike other NBA stars such as Dirk Nowitzki who have completely shut the door on a potential return, Wade is keeping his options open.
“I’m done, but my trainer is going to keep me in shape just in case something happens. I’m going to stay in shape because you never know. Never say never.”
The 37-year old sure-fire Hall of Famer has played 16 NBA seasons and averaged 22.0 points per game while winning three NBA championships with the Heat. Seems like that “Last Dance” tour may have been a tad bit premature.
