Phoenix Suns’ Center Phoenix Ayton Suspended 25-Games for PED Use
At this point, it’s hard to expect good news coming out of Phoenix.
As the Phoenix Suns look to take a much-needed step forward this upcoming season, they were dealt with some difficult news right out the gate. Second year big man DeAndre Ayton has been busted for PED use and is set to receive a 25-game suspension from the league.

Ayton, who scored 18 points and grabbed 11 boards in the Suns’ season-opening victory over the Sacramento Kings, commented on the impending situation earlier this evening:
“I want to apologize to my family, the entire Suns organization, my teammates, partners, our fans and the Phoenix community. This was an unintentional mistake and unfortunately I put something in my body that I was completely unaware of. I do understand the unfortunate impact that this has on so many others, and for that I am deeply sorry. I’m extremely disappointed that I’ve let my team down. I will continue to work with the NBPA to go through arbitration and am hopeful of a positive resolution.”
Most definitely, a very difficult start to the season for the Suns.
