Miami Heat Suspend Dion Waiters for 10 Games Following Plane Incident
The Miami Heat have been shopping Dion Waiters since the start of the season and it’s safe to say, the 27-year old isn’t planning on making the process any easier.
Waiters has yet to play a game this season after the Heat sent the shooting guard home after he arrived to training camp out of shape. The situation took another sharp left turn when Waiters suffered a panic attack, which led to a seizure on a Heat charter plane after consuming a THC-infused edible. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Heat believe Waiters was given the edible by a teammate, but waiters refuses to name the culprit.

On Sunday, the Heat announced that they have suspended Waiters for 10 games due to “conduct detrimental to the team.” The suspension will cost Waiters $834,483.
Waiters will lose his $1.2 million contract bonus if he is to miss four more games this regular season.
