Raptors Lucky Charm McCaw to Miss 4 Weeks Due to Knee Surgery

The Toronto Raptors will be without a valuable depth piece for the foreseeable future.

On Wednesday, the Raptors announced that Patrick McCaw underwent surgery to remove a benign mass spotted behind his left knee. Out indefinitely, McCaw will be re-evaluated within a month.

With the injury, an opportunity presents itself for a number of Raptors players. A team already playing with a tight rotation, Nick Nurse will look to experiment with rookies Terence Davis and Matt Thomas, but may also spell some minutes for offseason acquisitions Stanley Johnson and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.

Davis, Thomas, and center Chris Boucher received minutes on Wednesday night in a Raptors victory over the Sacramento Kings.
