Pascal Siakam, Norman Powell, Marc Gasol All Out Indefinitely for Raps

The injury bug has really hit the reigning champs good this year.

As the Toronto Raptors await the returns of sharpshooter Matt Thomas and Fred VanVleet, Thursday’s news provided the Raptors with another big blow.

Marc Gasol will be out indefinitely with a hamstring strain. Adrian Wojnarowski noted that the injury will keep the Spaniard out for a “period of weeks”. Meanwhile, Norman Powell suffered a shoulder subluxation for the second straight season. Last year, he missed 21 games due to the injury. Lastly, Pascal Siakam will remain out indefinitely as well after stretching his groin. The severity of the injury has yet to be confirmed, but the feeling is that Siakam will be the first to return of the trio, barring any setbacks.

The good news coming out of the injury report is it doesn’t appear that surgery will be necessary in any of the three cases.
