LiAngelo Ball Joins Thunder’s G League Affiliate as Practice Player
The Ball family is closing out 2019 on a high note.
Not only is Lonzo Ball coming off a career night against the Houston Rockets, his younger brother LiAngelo is joining an NBA team – well, kind of.
LaVar’s middle son has officially joined the Oklahoma City Thunder’s G League affiliate as a practice player as per a team official. The 21-year old Ball will not be an official part of the Oklahoma City Blue’s roster, but as per G League rules, the team is allowed to bring him in as a player for practice. He has been a part of the Blue since impressing at a G League Winter Showcase on December 19.

Of the three Ball boys, LiAngelo was never considered a top tier prospect. His younger brother LaMelo, who is currently playing overseas in the NBL, is considered a top-five prospect in the upcoming NBA Draft.
LiAngelo will now have the opportunity to work his way to an NBA roster via the G League.
