New York Knicks Looking to Make Big Push for Raptors’ Masai Ujiri
The dysfunctional New York Knicks are desperately looking for some sense of stability.
According to sources close to Ian Begley of SNY, the Knicks are “obsessed” and “enamoured” by Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri, who has yet to sign an extension with the reigning NBA champs. Unfortunately, Ian Begley also reports that Ujiri does not seem excited by the prospect of jumping ship to the Knicks.
Earlier in the week, the Knicks fired head coach David Fizdale and are looking to either part ways or re-assign Steve Mills who was promoted to president following the dismissal of Phil Jackson back in 2017.
“Those losses go on Fizdale’s permanent record but the failed Fizdale experiment belongs to Steve Mills, whose days as a Teflon executive under Dolan are about to end,” wrote Frank Isola.
Sitting in last place in the Eastern Conference, the Knicks hold the worst record in the entire NBA at 4-19.
