Andre Drummond Garnering Interest from Raptors, Hawks, Others
The Detroit Pistons have all but plateaued with the current core in place.
The trio of Andre Drummond, Blake Griffin, and Reggie Jackson have failed to click and the experiment seems to have run its course. The Pistons have remained a bubble team, one that consistently fights for a low playoff seed – an opportunity to participate and nothing more.
Drummond has a $28M player option for next season that he is unlikely to exercise, forcing the Pistons to consider possibility of losing him in free agency. Among teams, there's an increasing belief that Drummond will be moved before February 6 trade deadline. https://t.co/s4PDchLVWV

With that being said, the Pistons appear ready to make some major changes, starting with Drummond. The market for the star big man appears to be heating up as the Atlanta Hawks were highlighted as one team in particular making a strong push. The Toronto Raptors, Dallas Mavericks, and Boston Celtics have all shown interest in Drummond as well. According to reports, Drummond has a pre-existing relationship with both Kyle Lowry of the Raptors and Kristaps Porzingis of the Mavericks.
Drummond is in the midst of yet another strong statistical season, averaging 17.6 points and 15.8 rebounds per game. He has a $28-million player option for next year which he is unlikely to exercise.
