Tacko Falls, Alex Caruso Headline Wild First All-Star Voting Returns
The NBA All-Star Game’s voting system is very much a popularity contest.
The question that keeps being tossed back and forth is, is this a negative or a positive thing?
While, granted, the NBA wants to reward the game’s best players, the All-Star game is also a showcase for the fans. The winner of the game doesn’t gain anything. It’s a weekend of fun and one that ultimately is for the enjoyment of the viewers. With that being said, Tacko Falls of the Boston Celtics and Alex Caruso of the Los Angeles Lakers are right in the thick of things as the first returns came in earlier this week.

Nevertheless, the leaders are very much as anticipated, especially in the Western Conference where LeBron James is headlining the starters alongside teammate Anthony Davis, Kawhi Leonard, Luka Doncic, and James Harden. Over in the Eastern Conference, reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo leads the entire league in votes, just over 50,000 ahead of LeBron James and rounds out the Eastern side along with Trae Young, Kyrie Irving, Pascal Siakam, and Joel Embiid. Toronto Raptor’s point guard who will surely be voted in by coaches, is currently in eighth among Eastern Conference guards.
Be sure to continue voting until the bitter end!
