Anthony Davis, LeBron James Only Untouchables on Lakers Roster
The Los Angeles Lakers have a comfortable five game edge in the Western Conference.
That being said, sitting pretty at 32-7 has not stopped them from showing interest in the NBA’s trade market. At this moment, the Lakers are willing to move just about anyone on the current roster outside of pending free agent Anthony Davis and LeBron James if it means improving their championship odds.
Kyle Kuzma is viewed as the most attractive trade chip on the Lakers roster outside of draft pick compensation. According to sources, general manager Rob Pelinka has already had multiple conversations with teams regarding Kuzma.

It is important to note that as the trade deadline creeps closer, the Lakers have very glaring holes on their roster despite their great record and looking dominant for the majority of the regular season.
They have been dismantled by the Los Angeles Clippers on two occasions, have lost to the Eastern Conference leading Milwaukee Bucks, and were blown out by an injury-riddled reigning champion Toronto Raptors team. Outside of James, the Lakers have consistently shown to lack anyone with consistent playmaking ability. While Rajon Rondo does provide that option, at this stage of his career, the Lakers would prefer filling the key role from outside the organization.
The Lakers have been showing interest in free agent point guard Darren Collison.
Additionally, the Lakers remain interested in adding shooting help and capable wing defenders.
