NBA All-Star Game to Remember, Celebrate Lives of Kobe, Crash Victims
On Friday morning, the NBA, NBPA, and Nike announced that they plan to pay tribute and celebrate the late Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and the seven other victims in the tragic helicopter crash.
The 2020 NBA All-Star Game uniforms swill feature Gianna’s and Kobe’s basketball numbers. Moreover, jersey patches displaying nine stars will be donned during the game by all players on both teams. The nine stars will represent the lives of all that have fallen including former baseball coach John Altobelli and his family.

During the NBA’s Rising Star matchup, all jerseys will include patches with the Nos. 2 and 24 surrounded by nine stars. The same patch will be worn by each of the All-Star Saturday Night contestants.
