LeBron, Giannis Draft Their Teams, All-Star Game Rosters Ready to Roll
The first pick of the 2020 All-Star Draft was an easy one to guess as LeBron James started the process off by picking his Los Angeles Lakers teammate, Anthony Davis.
Giannis Antetokounmpo would follow by selecting Joel Embiid. LeBron rounded out his starting five with James Harden, Luka Doncic, and Kawhi Leonard, while Antetokounmpo selected Pascal Siakam, Trae Young, and Kemba Walker. Giannis would then kick off the second round by picking his Milwaukee Bucks teammate, Khris Middleton.
“At the end of the day, you cannot go wrong,” Antetokounmpo said. “They’re all great players, all great guys, and hopefully we can all have fun this weekend.”
Prior to the start of the draft, James and Antetokounmpo selected the Chicago-based charities that their respective All-Star squads will be supporting during February 16th’s game. James chose Chicago Scholars, while The Greek Freak picked After School Matters.
The NBA plans to honour Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna at this year’s All-Star Game, and to do so, Team Giannis will wear No.24, while Team LeBron will wear No.2.
