All-Star Takeover

Toronto Raptors to Have Finger Prints All Over NBA’s All-Star Weekend

No matter which night of the weekend you tune in, you are guaranteed to see someone representing the NBA Champion Toronto Raptors.

Last evening, Raptors’ head assistant Adrian Griffin led the World Team in the Friday night’s Rising Star Challenge against the stacked Team USA. Despite the 151-131 loss, the Raptors assistant coaches had a fantastic showing and will be right back on the sideline on Sunday night behind head coach Nick Nurse when they will look to coach Team Giannis to victory.

Their All-Star roster will have a couple of familiar names, as the NBA’s reigning Most Improved Player of the Year Pascal Siakam is set to be a starter for Team Giannis while Kyle Lowry will be suiting up for his franchise-record sixth All-Star Game.

Although, Terence Davis just missed the cut to compete in the Rising Stars Challenge, the Raptors make up for it and will be represented again on Saturday night during the Taco Bell Skills Challenge. First time All-Star Siakam will take part in the challenge hoping to add yet another accolade to his quickly growing list of trophies.

As well-represented as an organization can be, this will most definitely be an All-Star Weekend to remember for the Toronto Raptors franchise.
