Devin Booker to Replace Damian Lillard in All-Star Game, 3-Pt Shootout
Damian Lillard will be unable to participate in this year’s All-Star Weekend.
After undergoing an MRI, it has been confirmed that the superstar point guard will miss the next 1-2 weeks as he recovers from a groin strain and will subsequently sit out this weekend’s festivities.
Replacing him will be a first-time All-Star in Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns. Booker will also take Lillard’s spot in Saturday’s Three-point Shootout. In his fifth NBA season, the 23 year old guard has averaged 26.4 points and 6.3 assists per game while shooting a career best 49.6 percent from the field. He has also shot 35.8 percent from long range for the 22-30 Suns who find themselves 6.5 games out of the final playoff spot.
