Denver Nuggets Promote Calvin Booth to General Manager Role
The Denver Nuggets made quick work replacing their departed executive Arturas Karnisovas.
Over the weekend, the organization promoted Calvin Booth to the role of general manager. The former NBA journeyman began his front office career as a scout with the New Orleans Pelicans back in 2012, working his way up to director of player personnel with the Minnesota Timberwolves shortly after.
Booth was named the assistant general manager of the Nuggets in 2017 and has received plenty of praise since joining the organization.

“Constantly learning new things and he’s got an innate feel for people in the game,” the team’s president of basketball operations Tim Connelly said of Booth. “Obviously, his playing background [is significant]. Coming from a redshirt at Penn State to a 10-year NBA vet, he’s seen so much.”
Karnisovas was named the new executive vice president of basketball operations for the Chicago Bulls last week.
