Tyronn Lue, Mark Jackson Among Candidates for Nets’ Head Coach Job
Jacque Vaughn has impressed many within the Brooklyn Nets organization in his brief stint at the helm.
While he continues to hold the interim tag, the Nets will give Vaughn an opportunity to interview for the head coaching position over the offseason. Along with the team’s current bench boss, the Nets will also reportedly seek interviews with Tyronn Lue, Jason Kidd, Mark Jackson, Mike Brown and Jeff Van Gundy.
Kidd is no stranger to the Nets organization.
The future Hall of Fame point guard spent a number of years with the franchise during his playing days and even earned his first head coaching opportunity with the team before being replaced by Kenny Atkinson. Meanwhile, Tom Thibodeau is another coaching candidate whose name has been circulating, but the belief at this time is that he remains an option for only the New York Knicks.
Multiple reports have claimed that Nets superstar Kyrie Irving prefers Lue to takeover next season.
