At Long Last

NBA Expected to Resume Play, To Release Return Guidelines on June 1

We have been surviving without the NBA for the past two months and it seems like our long and crippling suffering shall soon come to an end.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, teams are expecting the NBA to provide them with the return to play guidelines around June 1st. The pending protocol will allow franchises to begin calling back its players and begin the formal ramp-up phase in preparation for the resumption of the season.

Training Camp 2.0 is expected to begin in mid-June with play resuming in mid-July as per The Athletic.

At this point, Orlando is expected to be one of the host cities for the season with Las Vegas being the second landing spots for NBA games. Disney Executive Bob Iger has a strong relationship with league commissioner Adam Silver and was even present for the NBA’s remote Board of Governors meeting on April 17.

Barring any unexpected coronavirus-related circumstances, the season is expected to be back!
