NBA Announces Zero Positive COVID-19 Test Results Since July 13th

The NBA could not have received better news with scrimmage play set to begin later this week.

Since the arrival of players, coaches, and team personnel to the NBA’s bubble, the league has been very strict in regards to its safety guidelines and that mindset is definitely paying off. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, zero players have tested positive for the virus out of 346 tested in Orlando since the last results were released on July 13.

There has been plenty of hesitation and criticism directed at the NBA for opting to play out the remainder of the season in America’s epicentre of the coronavirus. That being said, as Florida’s daily case numbers remain high, teams have continued to voice how safe they feel in isolation within the Disney World bubble.

The NBA will resume its season on July 30, over four months after beginning its hiatus.
