Former Portland Trail Blazer Clifford Robinson Passes Away at Age 53
A day following the tragic loss of actor Chadwick Boseman, the NBA family lost one of its former players in Clifford Robinson at the young age of 53.
A former NBA All-Star and Sixth Man of the Year, Robinson spent 19 season in the league, splitting time between the Portland Trail Blazers, Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors, and New Jersey Nets. He also made two All-Defensive second teams during his career.

“The UConn Basketball family mourns the loss of a legendary player and person, Clifford Robinson,” said his alma mater in a Twitter statement. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Cliff’s family at this difficult time.”
The cause of death is currently unknown, but Robinson has suffered a stroke before back in 2017 which left part of his body paralyzed. In 2018, he had a tumour removed from his jaw.
