Sacramento Kings Hire McNair as New Head of Basketball Operations
The Sacramento Kings have a new man at the top.
After moving on from the Vlade Divac-Peja Stojakovic is bad, the Kings have found their new head of basketball operations. On Wednesday, they hired Monte McNair, previously the assistant general manager of the Houston Rockets.
McNair, who will work closely with Joe Dumars, is a complete 180 from the man who previously led this organization. McNair graduated from Princeton University back in 2006 with a degree in computer science and has spent the entirety of his career growing within the analytically driven Rockets organization.

Over the past decade, the Kings have been one of the laughing stocks of the NBA and have not had much success on the basketball court since the early 2000’s. It will be up to the team’s new regime under McNair to bring the Kings back to relevance and help bring a winning culture to Sacramento.
Time to get to work in SacTown.
