After Missing Game 2, Bam Adebayo Set to Return in Game 3 for Heat
It’s now or never for Bam Adebayo and the Miami Heat.
No team has ever climbed out from a 3-0 hole and the Los Angeles Lakers have the opportunity to push the Heat to the brink of elimination on Sunday.
With continued uncertainty surrounding Goran Dragic, who suffered a plantar tear in Game 1, it appears as though Adebayo will give it a go in Game 3. The Miami star suffered a neck strain in Game 1 and was held out of Friday night’s game, but Adebayo told Yahoo Sports! that he plans to play in Game 3.
“Yes, I believe I’ll be in the lineup,” said the 23-year old big man following his team’s 124-114 defeat in Game 2. “I’m feeling better. I believe I’ll play. We’ve got to play with a level of desperation. That’s what I see. We’ve got to be a desperate team and come out with a lot of energy from the jump. I’m confident we can turn things around.”
Adebayo, who made his first All-Star team this past season, is averaging 17.8 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 4.6 assists inside the NBA’s bubble.
“We just got to continue to fight,” Adebayo said. “We’ve done it all year.”
