Brooklyn Nets Coaching Staff Taking Shape Under Steve Nash
Look away Kyrie Irving, more coaches are on the way.
As the season supposedly draws closer, the Brooklyn Nets coaching staff continues to take shape under its rookie bench boss, Steve Nash.
A few weeks after hiring former teammate Amar’e Stoudemire as his assistant coach, Nash went back to his Phoenix Suns roots and added his former head coach Mike D’Antoni to his staff as the lead assistant. D’Antoni has recently stepped down from his post as head coach of the Houston Rockets following four successful seasons with the organization.
Mike D’Antoni and Ime Udoka are finalizing deals to become assistant coaches under Steve Nash with the Brooklyn Nets, sources tell ESPN. Together, D’Antoni and Nash were the architects of the Seven Seconds or Less Offense with the Phoenix Suns in the mid-2000’s.

The Nets have also added Ime Udoka to their coaching staff.
Udoka has gotten looks for potential NBA head coaching openings in the past and was most recently the assistant coach of the Philadelphia 76ers after spending seven seasons under Gregg Popovich in San Antonio.
Our thoughts are of course with Irving who will be required to endure a good amount of coaching this coming season.
