CP3 to Phoenix

Point God Lands in the Valley of the Sun in Late Fall Blockbuster

The Oklahoma City Thunder and Phoenix Suns are reportedly finalizing a trade that would send Chris Paul and Abdel Nader to the Suns in exchange for Kelly Oubre, Ricky Rubio, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque, and a 2022 first-round draft pick, as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski.

Paul had been subject to a number of trade rumours following the conclusion of the 2019-20 NBA season. The ‘Point God’ had a bounce back season in Oklahoma, averaging 17.6 points, 5 rebounds, 6.7 assists per game. He led the Thunder to a 44-28 record, ultimately bowing out in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs against the Houston Rockets in a nail biting seven game series.

Paul was awarded with a  All-NBA second team selection for his efforts this season. He joins a young Suns team ready to compete for a postseason appearance following an outstanding showing in the bubble, going undefeated in the seeding games.
