Paul had been subject to a number of trade rumours following the conclusion of the 2019-20 NBA season. The ‘Point God’ had a bounce back season in Oklahoma, averaging 17.6 points, 5 rebounds, 6.7 assists per game. He led the Thunder to a 44-28 record, ultimately bowing out in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs against the Houston Rockets in a nail biting seven game series.
Paul was awarded with a All-NBA second team selection for his efforts this season. He joins a young Suns team ready to compete for a postseason appearance following an outstanding showing in the bubble, going undefeated in the seeding games.
Sources: Suns‘ future first to the Thunder is protected 1-12 in 2022, 1-10 in 2023, 1-8 in 2024 and unprotected in 2025. https://t.co/e4AFUN3OfD
