Ibaka Leaving the Raptors, Signs 2-year, $19-Million Deal with Clippers
The Ma Fuzzy Chef is leaving the 6ix.
On Saturday night, it was reported that the big man inked a two-year, $19-million deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, in which the second year will be a player’s option.
Serge Ibaka was not only an integral part of the Toronto Raptors championship run in 2019, but has also become a beloved personality in the city and the country as well. He entered free agency coming off the best season of his career in which he averaged 15.4 points and 8.2 rebounds off the bench.

Ibaka will now head to California to join his former Raptors teammate Kawhi Leonard who left Toronto for the Clippers in free agency following the 2018-19 season. The signing is one that allows the Clippers to find an immediate replacement and upgrade for the recently departed Montrezl Harrell.
Meanwhile, the Toronto Raptors will now look to bolster their front court and have been in talks with free agents of the likes of Marc Gasol and Harry Giles.
