The Day Sports Stood Still

OKC Thunder’s Superstar Chris Paul to be Featured in Documentary

Chris Paul is set to be featured on the big screen.

HBO Sports, Imagine Documentaries, and Fuqua Films are set to produce a documentary titled The Day Sports Stood Still, revisiting the day in March when all of sports were shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The documentary will feature Paul, the Oklahoma City Thunder superstar point guard and president of the NBPA, was an integral part of the NBA’s restart plan inside of the bubble in Orlando. Thanks in large part to his great efforts, the NBA was able to complete its regular season and playoffs without a single positive test result.

The documentary will be directed by Antoine Fuqua.

“Last March when the NBA announced they were postponing the season, Chris Paul and I spoke and he said to me “we have to document this.” Antoine was our next call and days later, we started filming. We knew this was a unique story, but no one could have predicted the emotional twists and turns that came with bringing the game back,” said producer Brian Grazer.

Stay tuned for what should definitely be a very interesting documentary about one of the strangest years in sporting history.
