NBA Launches Investigation Over Kawhi-Clippers Tampering Allegations
Do you remember how the Los Angeles Clippers were stalking Kawhi Leonard?
Leonard was a Toronto Raptor and the Clippers were literally on the catwalk eying the then soon-to-be free agent superstar forward. They were enamoured by The Claw and were seemingly evaluating the California native all year.
Maybe doing a little more than just evaluating too.
According to a TMZ Sports news report, the NBA has launched an investigation into tampering allegations surrounding the team’s pursuit of Leonard. The thing Raptors fans have been calling for for over a year has finally gained some traction as a lawsuit has been filed by Johnny Wilkes, claiming that Jerry West owes him $2.5 million for his role in helping pursue Leonard for the Clippers.
“I am not aware of any lawsuit being filed against me and I deny engaging in any improper conduct in connection with the signing of Kawhi Leonard,” said West, denying the allegations.
Time to bring the Los Angeles Clippers to justice!
