Drama Continues to Grow in Houston as Harden Voices Displeasure
The relationship between James Harden and the Houston Rockets organization is beyond repair.
Following a lopsided 117-100 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, the Rockets fell to 3-6 on the season and Harden did not hold back in his post-game press conference. Pushing for a trade for weeks, Harden seems to be all but done with the higher-ups within the organization.
“I love this city. I literally have done everything that I can. I mean, this situation is crazy. It’s something that I don’t think can be fixed,” said Harden following the loss. “We’re just not good enough — chemistry, talent-wise, just everything.”

The Rockets have looked for a suitable trade partner but the asking price has definitely been steep. According to numerous reports, Houston is looking for a young franchise cornerstone player along with an assortment of first-round picks and young players to help jumpstart a rebuild around the team’s rising star Christian Wood.
Meanwhile, Harden’s co-star John Wall came out last night and made some direct comments which seemingly were directed as the disgruntled superstar. Wall arrived to Houston this past offseason in a blockbuster which saw Russell Westbrook find himself in Washington.
“I think it’s been a little rocky, can’t lie about that,” Wall said. “I don’t think it’s been the best it could be, to be honest. That’s all I really could say. When you have certain guys in the mix that don’t want to buy in as one, it’s gonna be hard to do anything special as a basketball team…it hurts.”
At 3-6, things could get far worse in Houston as it seems like Harden is ready to apply public pressure on the organization to facilitate some sort of trade.
