Kyrie Irving Reportedly Buys House for Family of Late George Floyd
While his behaviour around his team has been suspect, no one can question his efforts in the community.
Kyrie Irving may be misunderstood, but he clearly means well.
According to Stephen Jackson, a close friend of the late George Floyd who was brutally murdered by a police officer less than a year ago, the Brooklyn Nets superstar has purchased a home for his family five-to-six months ago. Irving has consistently remained active throughout the last calendar year off the court.
Kyrie Irving recently bought George Floyd's family a home, per Stephen Jackson. Jackson and Floyd were close friends.

“Kyrie Irving bought them a house. Lil Wayne’s manager bought them a Mercedes-Benz. Barbra Streisand gave them stock in Disney,” Jackson said.
Back in July, Irving also committed $1.5 million to supplement the income of WNBA players who opted out of the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic or social justice reasons – or both. He was also last seen supporting a campaign of a Manhattan district attorney candidate.
Additionally, it appears that Irving is nearing return to the court following a seven game absence. The point guard has averaged 27.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 6.1 assists so far this season.
