905 Fall to BayHawks

Flynn Shines, but Erie BayHawks Prove to be Too Much for Raptors 905

After an impressive season debut, the Raptors 905 fell on Friday to the Erie BayHawks.

The newly dubbed G League franchise of the 2019-20 season had little to no answer for the BayHawks offense as they dropped to 1-1 on the season with a 138-126 loss.

Jordan Bell led the BayHawks with 25 points and xi boards, while the Raptors first round pick of the 2021 NBA Draft Malachi Flynn poured in 25 points, eight boards, and six dimes in the defeat. Alize Johnson scored 23 points for the 905 while the Raptors second round pick Jalen Harris added 13 points of his own.

Following a tightly contested first half, Erie dished out the first blow in the third quarter before going on a 14-0 game-sealing run midway through the final frame to come away with the victory.

The 905 will look to get back into the win column when they take on Team Ignite on Saturday evening.
