LeBron James Criticizes Play-In Tournament, Calls out NBA
Let’s be honest.
Sometimes LeBron James complains a little too often.
As the Los Angeles Lakers start continues to work back from an ankle sprain – an injury he said he may never fully recover from – James took some time to criticize the NBA for its decision regarding the play-in tournament.
“Whoever came up with that s— needs to be fired,” James said following a lopsided loss to the under-manned Toronto Raptors.
The NBA’s play-in tournament was first introduced last season inside of the Orlando bubble and involves the seventh through tenth seeds in each conference. Interestingly enough, James’ comments come as his team continues to slide down the standings as they continue to work their way back to full health.
“It doesn’t matter at the end of the day if I’m not 100% or close to 100%,” he said. “It don’t matter where we land.”
The Lakers are currently in a three-team tie for the fifth seed in the West.
