Chris Paul, Kawhi Leonard to Miss Game 1 of Western Conference Finals
A couple of big names will be missing in action today.
As the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers are set to kick off the Western Conference Finals this afternoon, both teams will be entering the series without their most valuable players.
On the Suns side, Chris Paul remains in the league’s health and safety protocol after testing positive for COVID-19, while the Kawhi Leonard will remain out for the Clippers as he continues to rehab his knee injury. While Paul is expected to return at some point this round, there remains a fair amount of uncertainty around Leonard’s injury who is dealing with an unspecified ACL injury.

According to the team, the former two-time Finals MVP will continue rehabbing the injury at home and will not be traveling with the team.
Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals will take place in Phoenix as the Suns will look to draw first blood over a team that had to claw their way through their first two playoff series.
Game 7 between the Philadelphia 76ers and Atlanta Hawks will follow today’s game.
